Frequently Asked Questions

Why should we choose Rydell Productions for our wedding?

We absolutely love what we do. We can also guarantee that any cinematographer shooting your wedding is not only talented, but educated with a film degree. Having won both national/international awards at film festivals for our cinematography in both narrative and documentary films, we are well-versed in the medium and take pride in our work – especially weddings, since we know it is something you will have forever :)

How far can you travel?

We’ll go pretty much anywhere if the price is right.  We do charge a $250 travel fee for weddings being held more than 1 hour’s drive from Orlando to cover gas, mileage, and our time spent traveling.  If the location is more than 6 hours away, we would charge extra, depending on how far.  If it’s outside of Florida, hurray!  We are happy to travel, we would just need transportation taken care of, a plane flight (or two- depending on the package and # of Cinematographers) as well as accommodations.

Do you have lighting equipment to accommodate a more dimly-lit event?

Yes, we do have lighting equipment if necessary. Our cameras and lenses also allow us to capture events in less than optimal lighting situations. See our videos for examples.

Do you offer any special editing services?

All packages include a highlight reel to a song of your choice.  With the platinum package, the highlights reel will be uploaded to our vimeo site and a link will be provided to you so that you can share it online and/or via your iphone, ipad, etc.

What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?

We carry two Canon HDSLR (HD) cameras, Panasonic HVX, multiple lenses, tripods, monopod, glidecam, shotgun mic, and a lavaliere mic to capture the vows.

Do you give access to your raw footage?

No. Raw footage is not available. This is because the final DVD consists of the best footage.

How long does it take for the client to get the final video?

Usually final videos are delivered within 3 months of your event, but never longer than 6 months, depending on our editing schedule. We take pride in our work and make sure that your wedding video is perfect before we send it out.

Do you require a minimum number of hours to book?

Yes. Our packages starts at a minimum of 6 hours.

How much do we need to put down to reserve our wedding date when we sign our contract?

A deposit of $200 is required to book your wedding date with us.  The deposit is non-refundable and comes out of your total.

What is the major difference between in the Platinum and the Gold?

The Platinum Package includes three Cinematographers, Guest Interviews, a Highlight reel online so that you can share it via mobile devices etc, as well as a more artistic documentary style edit of the pre-ceremony and pre-reception sections in your final wedding DVD.  With three Cinematographers, you’ll have 3-camera coverage of your ceremony (3 angles).  Having an additional cinematographer allows for more creative shots, which look great in the highlights reel.
